FRANKLIN
Elite Home Health Care LLC in Franklin strives to live up to its name of being the best in its field.

“Elite care is our care,” said program director Stephanie Olds, who had joined to assist her husband Henry.

“I felt there was a need in this area for in-home health care that people were not getting,” she said.

Apparently, many people agree with her. Since becoming established in October 2016, when the business got its first client, the staff members have been busy.

“We have had very rapid growth,” said Olds, who added that the market is competitive.

Located at 115 W. Second Ave., the service also extends to underserved areas in Southampton County as well as the city.

Clients have an array of options seven days a week: Assistance with activities of daily living; companionship; participation in games or hobbies; preparation of light meals; light housekeeping; help with moving around and getting to and from appointments; and medication reminders.

When contacted, a registered nurse will first perform an assessment to create a care plan, which Olds said is “tailor-made.”

“Clients are our priority,” she stressed.

As far as payment goes, the Franklin resident said that can be done through most insurance companies or Medicaid or private plans.

Previous to joining Elite Home Health Care, the Courtland native had gained many years work experience as an assistant administrator in the mental health profession.

In addition to the work, though, Olds is involved in outside activities because she believes in “giving back to the community.”

These include participating in activities such as bingo with residents at Springdale and Holland Trace apartments. There’s also involvement in the back-to-school bash for youth.

“We believe in empowering people in our community,” said Olds.
