Moms. Where would we be without them?

We wouldn’t, of course.

Not only do they help bring our lives into the world, they also nurture us — feeding, changing, clothing, disciplining, doctoring, more feeding, more clothing, listening and, above all, loving us through and despite all sorts of mischief and disappointments and aggravations.

One day is truly not enough to pay tribute to the wonderful women who do so much, but it’s a start. If you’re fortunate enough to have a terrific mother, tell her.

Better still, show her. Not just with cards, candies and flowers, but more importantly through your actions every day, every year.

How? It’s really not as difficult as one might think. Do so by behaving as ladies and gentlemen, showing courtesy and compassion to others, forgiving the minor and major trespasses in your lives and even ‘paying forward’ the good things that were done for you.

That’s how your mom will know you love her.

That’s how others will know what an incredible woman she has been in your life.
