FRANKLIN — Thelma E. Pollard of Cobb Street departed this life to claim her eternal rest on May 9, 2018.

She was born on Feb. 11, 1964, to the late William Henry and Ethel Ford Pollard in Franklin.

Thelma graduated from Franklin High School with the class of 1982. Upon graduation, she acquired an associate degree from Paul D. Camp Community College. She was employed for over 30 years with the Department of Defense as an office clerk.

Thelma was a member of New Life Church.

Thelma’s memory will live forever in the hearts of one son, Cedric Pollard and his wife, Meredith; six sisters, Mary Evans, Gladys Robinson, Ruth Trice (James,) Fannie Haley, Jackie Cosby and Henrietta Pollard Beyah; six brothers, Lynn Ford Sr. (Erlene,) George Robinson (Lillie,) William Robinson (Joy,) Andrew Robinson Sr. (Celester,) Dwight Robinson (Patricia) and Philip Pollard; two grandchildren, Ethan and Leland; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives.

The service celebrating her journey home will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, in Scott’s Revival Center, 1816 South St., Franklin, with Bishop Sherry Hall delivering the message of comfort; the Rev. Dr. Evelyn Square is the host pastor. The final funeral rites will be in Southview Cemetery.

A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
