FRANKLIN
Camp25 hosted its sixth camp, sponsored by Franklin Parks and Recreation, on April 28 at the Franklin High School track. Previous camps that have been offered are cheerleading, volleyball, indoor soccer, gymnastics and spring break camp. The track and field camp was a huge success.

Campers were able to participate in events that included: shot put, long jump, 40 yard dash, 100 meter, 4 X 100 relay, 200 meter, and 4 X 400 meter. The camp was led by the Franklin Broncos track and field coaches Mona and Dennis Sumblin, who have a wealth of knowledge about track and field, and did an outstanding job as track and field coaches at Franklin High School.

The camp concluded with a pizza party and certificates being awards to each camper. Camp25 would also like to thank FHS Principal Travis Felts, Franklin City Public Schools, parents, campers, Franklin’s Department of Parks and Recreation, and the entire Camp25 team.

The organization will also host a Summer Soccer League starting on Wednesday, May 30, for children ages 4 to 14. The cost of the summer soccer camp is $40 and will run for five consecutive weeks. Games will be on Wednesday evenings at Armory Field. Soccer cleats and shinguards are required.
