WINDSOR — Jane Newsome Ellis, 80, passed away on May 7, 2018.

She was born in Franklin, Virginia, the daughter of the late Thomas Eley Newsome and Ida Beatric West Newsome. She was predeceased by her husband, William Rosco Ellis; stepson, Robert Ellis; six sisters; and two brothers.

She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

Jane is survived by her sons, Ronald Cary Pierce (Hattie,) Thomas Ray Pierce (Karen) and William Austin Ellis; stepdaughter, Jenne Priest (Dannis); numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Irene Powers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be on Friday, May 11, at 11 a.m., in Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Robert Cofield officiating.

Friends may join the family on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, Suffolk.
