Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation have completed work on the superstructure replacement on Barnes Church Circle (State Route 677) in Newsoms about 10 days ahead of schedule.

According to Nina Napolitano, senior communications specialist for VDOT, the road reopened on Wednesday. Construction began on Monday and was initially expected to be complete by May 12.
