Windsor Lady Dukes walk off Park View

The Windsor Lady Dukes defeated the Park View Lady Dragons 5-4 on Monday thanks to a walk-off triple. The Lady Dukes trailed 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Junior Edythe Carr tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring Alyssa Funai and Austin Gore.

Senior E.J. Bankson pitched for the Lady Dukes in the victory. She went seven innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs, while striking out seven Lady Dragons.

Senior catcher Madison O’Brien kept it a one-run game by throwing out a Park View baserunner attempting to steal second in the sixth inning. It was her fifth stolen base put out of the season.

The Lady Dukes collected 11 hits on the day. Alyssa Funai, E.J. Bankson and Edythe Carr each managed three hits to lead the Lady Dukes. Kayce Gray and Torri Queen also each picked up hits against Park View.

With the win, the Lady Dukes move to 8-3-1 on season. They will be back in action at home on Thursday against Greensville.
