Alex Lee

FRANKLIN — Mr. Alex “Huck” Lee of Delaware Road, transitioned from this earthly life on April 17, 2018.
He was born on June 13, 1941, in Southampton County to the late Lessie and Carrie Walker Lee.
During his early years, “Huck” was a member of White Oak Spring Missionary Baptist Church.
In 1984, he retired from Tidewater Construction with 25 years of service.
He was a 1964 graduate of Hayden High School.
Alex is survived by his wife, Lorraine W. Lee; four daughters, Shirley Lee, LaVerne Barnes (Kenneth,) Vickie Hawkins (James) and Angela Reid (Timothy); two sons, Alex Lee Jr. (Cindy) and Anthony Lee; one brother, Bernard Holloway; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
The service celebrating his life will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, in White Oak Spring Missionary Baptist Church, 26125 Delaware Road, Franklin, with Elder Ronald Barnes delivering the message of comfort; the Rev. Melvin Wofford is the host pastor. His remains will be placed in church for viewing by 11 a.m.
A traditional service with dignity will be provided by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
