FRANKLIN
Franklin Police are searching for two suspects in connection with an armed robbery at Farm Fresh.

According to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the police department, officers responded to the grocery store, located at 1459 Armory Drive, on Wednesday at approximately 7:25 p.m. There they learned that a black male suspect had loaded a shopping cart with meats and proceeded to leave the store without paying.

An employee reportedly followed the suspect outside, where the suspect brandished a knife and threatened to kill the employee. Officers say the suspect then put two packages of meat into a maroon Ford Escort, leaving the rest in the shopping cart, and then entered the car, which was being driven by a second person. The two suspects then fled the scene.

The first suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, between 5-foot-8-inches and 5-foot-10-inches in height, weighing approximately 160 pounds, wearing a black jacket with an orange/yellow vest. The driver of the car is described as a younger, light-skinned black male with short hair.
