CAPRON — Patricia W. Grizzard, 81, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was the daughter of the late Maynard and Lucy Vaughan Worrell, and was a very active member of Antioch Baptist Church where she served in numerous capacities.
Mrs. Grizzard is survived by her husband of 61 years, Eugene M. Grizzard; two sons, Maynard Grizzard and wife, Angela; and Michael Grizzard and wife, Debbie; two daughters, Terry Barber and husband, Buddy; and Carla Marshall and husband, Dennis; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Allen R. Worrell.
The funeral, led by Pastor Ted Owens and Drew Dunn, was at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, in Antioch Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Grizzard’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at East Pavilion for the loving care and concern shown to Mrs. Grizzard during her time there.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 11, Yale, VA 23897.
