Former IWA leader named to Hall of Fame

Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association announces the VISAA Hall of Fame class of 2018.

The VISAA Hall of Fame will include athletic administrators and coaches who have had significant long-term contributions or accomplishments in the building of the VISAA and its sports committees/championships.

Among the five recipients is Benjamin “Benny” Vaughan, retired headmaster of Isle of Wight Academy and longtime member of the state basketball committee and former executive chair of the VISAA.

The induction will take place on Monday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m., in the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa. Tickets for the event may be purchased for $45 by contacting Michael Dicken at Veritas School, cmdicken@veritasschool.com, or purchased online from Ticket Spicket www.ticketspicket.com.
