COURTLAND — Brenda Catherine Ellis Boyce, 66, passed away on March 23, 2018, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Oct. 21, 1951, in Franklin, to the late William Ashley and Dorothy Elizabeth Butler Ellis. Brenda was also predeceased by a sister, Vivian Griggs, and a brother, Thomas Turner.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Thomas Lafayette Boyce Sr.; three daughters, Yvette Farrenkopf (Daniel) of Suffolk; Candy Baines (Tim) of Suffolk; and Cheryl Burch of Courtland; one son, Thomas L. Boyce Jr. (Heather) of Suffolk; three sisters, Evelyn Whitehead, Ann Tew (Harvey) and Wanda Rountree (Steve); one brother, David Turner; 13 grandchildren, Jef Fisk (Amy,) Jessica Dalton (Josh,) Daniel Burch (Erin,) Kristin Strohl (Adam,) Blake Farrenkopf (Angela,) Brandon Burch (Casey,) Dylan Farrenkopf (Ciara,) Micaela Fisk (Cody,) Brianna Powell (Johnathon,), Amber Boyce, Alexis Boyce, Miranda Morrill, and Savannah Boyce; and 16 great-grandchildren, Jaedan, Alysa, Jocelyn, Mason, Easton, Jaxen, Maddox, Liam, Hunter, Riley, Blaine, Kellan, Noah, Charlotte, Autumn and Selah.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m., on Monday, March 26, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with Pastor Tony Peaks officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
