The PDC Hurricanes lost 16-9 to the Bryant-Stratton Bobcats in a single game last Wednesday on Armory Field.

David Mitchell, head coach for the Hurricanes said, “Offensively we did some good things. Jones and Martin each had three hits. Martin had three RBIs.

“Parker and Jones scored three times each. Spence hit his second HR of the season.

“Swindler has been hot offensively as of late, he’s made some adjustments to his swing and approach and it’s paying off.

“Pitching continues to be inconsistent. We have to do a better job of throwing strikes.

“We’re showing up and playing hard. It’s year one and it’s a process. We’re laying a foundation and going to build it one brick at a time.

“We’re playing a challenging schedule and haven’t backed away from playing tough competition.

“I am very proud of the players we have and for sticking with us. It’s not easy!

“The players are learning a lot of life lessons about mental toughness and grit.”
