Resident upset over lack of notice of payment plan deadline

To the Editor:

Yesterday, I went down to the city hall to inquire about the installment plan for the month of February high light bill.

I was told that it was too late. Monday was the last day to inquire about it.

I then told the utility billing customer service representative that I just found out Wednesday afternoon that this was an option. I then asked her did you send a letter  out in our light bill?

What came next blew my mind! I was told no! You had to have found out by word of mouth or by reading the newspaper.

I don’t pay word of mouth or The Tidewater News! I pay the City of Franklin! I should have been notified by letter about this option. Something has to be done!
