To the Editor:

I am writing in reference to the recent situation where Southampton County Board of Supervisors members removed and replaced Dr. [Alan] Edwards. The board has broken their agreement not to interfere with the Planning Commission. The PC is separate from and serves a totally different purpose than that of the BOS.

The recent move by BOS members to remove and replace Edwards makes the BOS look ridiculous!

It is a shame that because someone doesn’t get their way and becomes a “tattletale” and makes a couple “phone calls” that a highly respected member of the PC and BOS is publicly shamed.

I guess we now know why the circus doesn’t come to Southampton County; you can go once a month right in Courtland at the BOS meetings!
