A large teenage party ended in violence on Saturday night. According to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department, dispatchers received multiple 911 calls around 10:22 p.m. reporting a fight and a shooting inside the Cobb Town Recreation Center located at 1821 South St.

When officers arrived at the scene, they observed a crowd leaving the building. They later learned that a parent was having a party for her teenage daughter when a fight broke out inside the building, and that during the fight, a person had started firing a gun inside.

Officers recovered 9mm cartridge casings and observed bullet holes in the ceiling. The suspect is described as a black male with gold teeth.

There were no reports of injuries associated with the shooting, though one teenage girl did go to the emergency room to be treated for anxiety due to being near the shooting when it happened.
