The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a series of burglaries in the Hunterdale area, in which several firearms were stolen.
According to Lt. Camden Cobb, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, from Aug. 11, 2017 to Jan. 14, 2018, deputies responded to three reported burglaries in the 23000 block of Scottswood Drive. Firearms were stolen during each burglary, to include pistols, revolvers, shotguns and rifles. Aside from one jar of change and two pellet guns, firearms were the only items reported stolen from these houses.
An unidentified black male was seen pushing a black Honda behind one of the houses on the same day it was burglarized. Deputies have identified two persons of interest in their investigations but no other leads have developed.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who might have information on these crimes to contact Det. S.C. White at 653-2786. Information can also be reported anonymously through the Franklin/Southampton Crime Solvers line by calling 653-2900.
