COURTLAND — Thomas Neal Marks, 55, passed away on Feb. 1, 2018, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Neal was a lifelong resident of Southampton County, and was a son of the late James Franklin Marks and Betty Turner Marks.
Neal was a 1982 graduate of Southampton Academy, a member of Sebrell United Methodist Church and a retired hunting guide.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Kim Wade Marks; two daughters, Jordan Leigh Marks and Mariah Faith Marks; two sisters, Phyllis Barham (Tommy) of Capron and Wanda Brady of Georgia; a brother, Dwayne Franklin Marks of Sebrell; and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, in Franklin Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. James H. Hyatt Jr. officiating.
The reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends at the residence, and suggests that memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.
