Pastor returning to former church

CARRSVILLE
Elder Robert L. Warren Jr. and First Lady Mary Warren will be returning home after 31 years to lead the congregation at New Jerusalem Holiness Church in Carrsville, 4284 Joyners Bridge Road.
The church name, he confirmed, will later become Faith, Hope and Love Ministries in Jerusalem.
Pastor Warren served as associate minister under the leadership of the founder and pastor, the late Linwood Goodman, from 1976-1987.
Warren attended C.H. Mason Bible College and the Virginia Seminary and College of Lynchburg.
He received his bachelor of Theology degree from W.P. Wiggins Bible Institute in Suffolk, and is in the master’s program.
Warren retired after working at Smithfield Foods for 33 years.
He pastored Macedonia COGIC for 17 years in Windsor, which later became Faith, Hope and Love Ministries in Suffolk, and is a pastor in the United Church of God Fellowship Inc. under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Viola H. Parker.
Warren is a lover of people and loves preaching and teaching God’s Word.
The installation service will be on Saturday, Feb. 3, at noon, and his first official day will be on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m.
