MIDLOTHIAN — Stephen Louis Bryant, 70, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 23, 2018.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; sister, Robyn Pickeral (Dennis) of Hampton; nephews, D. Steven Pickeral (Debbie) of Philadelphia and Adam Pickeral (Sarah) of Christiansburg; cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Steve was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Maude Bryant of Boykins, Virginia.
He grew up on his family’s peanut farm in Boykins.
Steve graduated from Southampton County High School and Virginia Tech where he played basketball. He received a degree from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. After practicing law for many years in Chesterfield County, Steve established a consulting firm in the commercial mortgage banking industry from which he retired in 2007.
Steve had a passion for Hokie sports, MGBs and other vintage cars, travel and adventure. He was a kind and generous man who loved serving others.
Steve belonged to Bon Air Baptist Church, and was active in mentoring, mission trips and other ministries. He was a member of the Central Chesterfield Kiwanis and the Central Virginia British Car Club.
There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m., in Bon Air Baptist Church, 2531 Buford Road, Richmond, VA 23235.
