A North Carolina man has been charged with failure to maintain lane of travel after the tractor-trailer he was driving overturned on U.S. Route 460 on Wednesday morning.

Sgt. Michelle Anaya, spokeswoman for the Virginia State Police, said state troopers were called at approximately 8:30 a.m. to investigate the scene, and later learned that the driver, Tony A. Raney, 48, of Greensboro, had been traveling westbound one mile east of Yellow Hammer Road in Zuni when he ran off the roadway and overturned on the shoulder. He was not injured.

At first, only the right-hand west-bound lane was closed. Around 1:30 p.m., Nina Napolitano, a spokeswoman for the Virginia Department of Transportation, announced that all lanes were blocked at Ecella Road for crews to clear the area, and lanes were expected to be closed until around 3 p.m. The reopening came at 2:30 p.m.
