All lanes have reopened U.S. Route 460 following a single vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer on Wednesday morning. This is according to an announcement made by Nina Napolitano, spokeswoman for the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Sgt. Michelle Anaya, spokeswoman for the Virginia State Police, said state troopers were called at approximately 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to investigate the scene, and later learned that the driver of the tractor-trailer had been traveling westbound one mile east of Yellow Hammer Road in Zuni when he ran off the roadway and overturned on the shoulder.

The driver, Tony A. Raney, 48, of Greensboro, North Carolina, was not injured and was charged with failure to maintain lane of travel.

At first, only the right-hand west-bound lane was closed. Around 1:30 p.m., all lanes were blocked at Ecella Road for crews to clear the area, and lanes were expected to be closed until around 3 p.m.

Napolitano announced via email at 2:30 p.m. that the lanes had reopened.
