FRANKLIN — Elder Carol L. White of Morton Street transitioned from this earthly life to claim her eternal reward on Jan. 17, 2018, while a patient in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, Virginia.

She was born to Mary L. and Otis Ricks Sr. on Aug. 12, 1945 in Franklin.
Elder Carol remained faithful to God and Mt. Olive Holiness Church. She became a licensed minister of the gospel under Elder A.A. Hall, an ordained elder under the leadership of Bishop Samuel Hall and was co-chair of the Women’s Ministry.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. White Sr.; and her father.
She is survived by four daughters, Carolyn M. Ricks-Hyman, Wanda Ford (Lorenzo), Lisa Koonce (Terry) and Tonya White-Bynum (Abbington); three sons, Robert White Jr. (Diane), Anthony E. White (Simone) and Brian S. White (Amy); four sisters, Alease Kearney, Barbara Hayslett, Vera Ricks and LeVonne Ricks; two brothers, Otis Ricks Jr. (Betty) and Charles S. Ricks (Loretha); 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one aunt, Glowrene Seaborne; and nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
The service honoring her spirit will be on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m., in Apostolic Faith Church of God, 680 Oak St., Franklin with Bishop Samuel Hall delivering the eulogy; Overseer Ronnie Warren is the host pastor. Her remains will rest in church for viewing by 11 a.m. The committal and benediction will be in Southview Cemetery.
A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St., Franklin.
