GATES, N.C. — Katherine Blythe Parker, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017.
Mrs. Parker was born in Franklin, Virginia, on July 29, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Hunter and Allie Griffin Blythe.
A homemaker, she attended Reynoldson Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy James “Tim” Parker, and by her son, James Earl “Jim” Parker.
Surviving are her two daughters, Nancy Parker Hughes and husband, Al, of Chesapeake, Virginia; and Janet Parker Roberson and husband, Ricky, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; a sister, Irene Blythe Bulls and husband, James Sr., of Sedley, Virginia; and a grandson, Parker Lane Roberson.
The funeral will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main St., Gatesville, North Carolina, and will be officiated by a family friend, the Rev. Wayne Gardner.
Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service.
The private burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Robin Stephens and Annette and Reggie Askew for all the love and care provided them during their time of need.
