FRANKLIN
Perhaps to no one’s surprise, the Franklin Christmas parade scheduled for tonight, Dec. 8, has been cancelled because of the weather. Dan Howe, executive director of the Downtown Franklin Association, confirmed at about 1:45 p.m. the event is off.

He added that there will not be a rescheduled date, and will just have to hope for better weather next December.

There’s been no word if the Courtland parade on Saturday at 11 a.m. has been postponed. So for the time being, it’s still happening.

Audra Anderson of the Boykins parade on Sunday said that event is still scheduled to take place.
