Windsor defeats ARGS in overtime

WINDSOR
Windsor High School’s varsity boys basketball team defeated Appomattox Regional Governor’s School 54-47 in a home game on Friday after several Windsor players scored big during overtime.

According to WHS varsity basketball coach Erik Johnson, Appomattox had taken the lead up until the fourth quarter, when WHS players Jesse Ashby, a junior, and Ethan Rogers, a sophomore, both scored 3-pointers to get the game tied, and later, allowed Windsor to take the lead.

Additional highlights included senior Markyal Riddick scoring 20 points and sophomore Hayden Pittman scoring 14 rebounds.

As of Saturday, WHS was 1-1, having lost to West Point in their first game.
