COURTLAND — Katherine Ricks Vaughan Cobb, 94, of Shands Drive, died on Dec. 3, 2017.

She was the widow of R. Gordon Cobb, and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Collin Ricks Vaughan.

Mrs. Cobb was a graduate of Longwood College. When living in Lynchburg earlier she was Assistant to the Dean of Students at Randolph Macon Woman’s College.

Mrs. Cobb was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church, the Southampton County Historical Society and Cypress Cove Country Club.

Formerly, she was a member of the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and had served as a Pink Lady.

She is survived by a sister, Marjorie V. Skidmore; and a nephew, Colin Randolph Skidmore of Stamford, Connecticut.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland.
