“Here comes Santa Claus, Here come Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus lane!”

That song among many has been going through our collective heads this week as people in Western Tidewater and everywhere else make plans for Christmas. It brings to mind one of the more exciting ingredients to the season: the holiday parade.

If marching bands, colorful floats and Santa are your thing, then you’re in luck this season.

Here’s a list of upcoming parades.

• Saturday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. – Windsor
• Sunday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. – Capron and Ivor
• Friday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. – Franklin
• Saturday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. – Courtland
• Sunday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. – Boykins
