Berkley D. Blythe

SUFFOLK — Berkley Draper Blythe, 93, of Old Myrtle Road, departed this life on Nov. 13, 2017, at Consulate Healthcare of Windsor.
Berkley was a native of Franklin, Virginia, and a son of the late Lucius A. and Katie B. Blythe. He was also the widower of Evelyn White Blythe, and brother of the late, Morris Russell Blythe.
Berkley was a retiree of the Virginia Department of Agriculture.
He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class.
Berkley was also a veteran of World War II, surviving first in the Philippines and reenlisting and serving in Germany.
He is survived by his three nieces; cousins; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruby W. Weaver, Dora W. Aston and Roger P. White.
The funeral will be on Friday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m., in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Tim Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
