The third annual Womanless Pageant will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m.. This will be in the building next to the main stage on the county fairgrounds.

Janet Joyner, who regularly organizes the pageants for little girls and young ladies, said the profits will be used by the board for future county fairs.

The contestants willing to slip into dresses are:

• Brian Snow – Franklin Police Officer

• Josh Dowd – Southampton Deputy

• Gary Brinkley – Physician Assistant Southampton Orthopedics

The winner will be crowned Mr. Franklin-Southampton, and receive a sash, crown and flowers.

Tickets are $10 per person and sold at the following locations: Franklin Seafood and Steakhouse (old Parker Drug); Cats Meow and Janet’s Touch of Style, both on Main Street; Farmers Bank (Courtland); or any Fair Board member.

Door prizes and drawings for a huge fall basket and a 50/50 prize will be included that night.
