To the Editor:

This is in reply to Mr. [John] Railey’s “The Old South, Charlottesville and the kneelers” (Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017.)

I do believe there are many, many people in this state and in the union of states that are sick and tired of historical apologists and those who believe in the so-called never possible to change lasting effects of history.

People judge one another on what they do or not do, what they put forth or not put forth, what they contribute or not contribute, and what they do nothing but whine and cry about.

You could help everyone by stopping the whiny dribble political slants and encourage people to put their effort behind their ideas and start in their own community making things better.
