FRANKLIN — Tammy Marie Beatty Britt, 56, passed away on Oct. 9, 2017, at home surrounded by her family after a 10-year battle with cancer.

Born in Suffolk and reared in Boykins, she was the daughter of the late Milton “Corky” and Bert Beatty. She was also predeceased by a brother, Jay Beatty.

Tammy was a member of Boykins Baptist Church, a graduate of Southampton High School, and had retired as assistant cafeteria manager at Riverdale Elementary School.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Marty; her daughter, Aaron Nicole Britt, her son, Mason Charles Britt, all of Franklin; one brother, Mickey Beatty of Charlotte, North Carolina; her mother-in-law, Amelia G. Britt of Newport News; her brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Amy Chase of Washington; and an uncle and aunt, Lucky and Riekie Roncinske of Laredo, Texas.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, in Wright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Bunn officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to any St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
