FRANKLIN — Joan Pauline Myrick, 65, passed away on Oct. 8, 2017, at her home.
She was a sergeant in the Army, a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, and was a security officer with Luna Development.
Survivors include three sisters, Wendy Myrick of Suitland, Maryland;, Sherri Stark of Richmond; and Julie Artis of Hampton; and nieces and nephews.
The memorial service with military honors will be at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 17, in Seventh-day Adventist Church, 102 W. Lewistown Road, Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk
