Maddie Cosby is keeping the momentum going with her community service by again organizing fundraisers.

The first is helping in the fight against cancer. For the fifth year, she’s planning an auction and bake sale, which will go toward the Dream Chasers Relay For Life. This will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southampton Fairgrounds on New Market Road, Courtland.

Guests will include the Little Miss Franklin/Southampton County Relay Queens.

There will also be applications for the next Relay Pageant, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 3. In addition to the aforementioned events, there will be vendors, a kids’ activity area and hot dog lunches for sale.

Speaking of canines, for the second event, Cosby is again putting on the dog … the dog pageant, that is. This event will also be on Oct. 14 and begin at 2 p.m. at the Fairgrounds. Money from this will go toward Partners Among Cats and Canines.
