COURTLAND
Barring any more interruptions, Southampton High School Indians will play against Charles City High School Panthers tonight at 7 o’clock in Courtland.

Last Friday, rain fell more heavily toward the end of the first quarter, causing a decision for a 30-minute break in hopes the weather would calm down. But, according to Indians’ Athletic Director Tim Mason, lightning came into the mix, resulting in postponing the game until Wednesday. However, he added, other issues cropped up to prevent even that event.

Rather than both teams calling for a forfeiture, they decided to play this evening.

Play will resume with the start of the second quarter.
