Brenda B. Holland

CARRSVILLE — Brenda Blythe Holland, 70, widow of Wilson “Pete” Staley Holland Jr., passed away on Aug. 6, 2017.
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and reared in Hunterdale, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William Kelly Blythe Sr. and Alda May Blythe. She was predeceased by a brother, Douglas T. Blythe.
Brenda was a 1967 graduate of Franklin High School, and was an administrative assistant for the Economic Development Department of Isle of Wight County.
She was a member of Sebrell United Methodist Church until its closure.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Sally and Kelly Holland, both of Carrsville, and Christy H. Ennas (Joseph) of Chester, Virginia; two sisters, Carolyn B. Bland (James) of Sedley and Arlene B. Palmer (Top) of Nags Head, North Carolina; two brothers, William K. Blythe Jr. (Karen) and Donald T. Blythe Sr. (Lynn), all of Franklin; three grandchildren, Josina, Jeremy and Joseph Ennas Jr.; sister-in- law, Gloria Merrifield (Don); and a host of nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 9, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
The family extends their appreciation to her nurse, Angela Burris, for the care she provided.
