Branchville man assaulted, robbed

FRANKLIN
A 44-year-old Branchville man reported to police that he was robbed and assaulted at a house on Bracey Street early on Friday morning. This information comes from Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department.
The victim told police that he did not know exactly at which house he was at the time. The victim and his girlfriend had been consuming alcohol for several hours. When the victim went outside to relieve himself, he alleged that he was accosted by two suspects. One of them pistol-whipped him and he was kicked in the side while on the ground.
The suspects stole the victim’s money, pants, shoes, cell phone and wallet.
The suspects are described as black males; the first suspect, early 20’s, 5’7”, 175 pounds wearing blue jeans and a dark bandana around his face. The second suspect, also early 20’s, 5’ 8”, 200 pounds, wearing blue jeans and dark clothing covering his face. The weapon used is described as a black 9mm or .380 caliber pistol.
The victim was treated and released from Southampton Memorial Hospital.
