Bomb threat clears Isle of Wight courts

WINDSOR
On Wednesday at approximately 9:30 a.m., a bomb threat was called into the Isle of Wight County Circuit Court Clerk’s office. The information comes from Lt. Tommy Potter, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

As of 11:12 a.m., all offices located in the Young-Laine Courts building had been evacuated. Emergency personnel are working to thoroughly check the building before normal operations resume later today.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the person responsible for this bomb threat  is asked to contact The Crime line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Tipsters can also text a tip to the word CRIMES and in the message field begin the tip with the letters IOWCL followed by the tip information.
