WINDSOR
On Monday, the Southampton-Sussex Mustang All-Star B Team completed an undefeated run through the PONY State Championship tournament held in Windsor, and were crowned the 2017 State Champions.
SS defeated the Chesterfield American team 7-1 in the opening game, then went on to impressive wins over Great Neck, 15-3 and Suffolk Youth Athletic Association, 10-1 in the quarter and semifinal rounds.
The championship game was a rematch with Suffolk, and SS came out on top 11-5.
