ZUNI — Audrey Marie Stubbs went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2017.

Audrey was a former member of Alexander Baptist Church, a loving, strong and supportive mother and grandmother, and a very avid Washington Redskins fan.

She was widowed by Elisha Carl Stubbs Sr., and preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mamie Atkins; daughter, Linda Gail Gardner; five sisters: and three brothers.

Audrey is survived by daughter, Carolyn Sue King of Virginia Beach; son, Elisha Carl Stubbs Jr. (Penny) of Zuni; two granddaughters, Lisa Marie James of Fredericksburg and Madison Elizabeth Stubbs of Zuni; sister, Norma Jean Gay (James) of Virginia Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Friday, June 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, and other times at the son’s residence.

The funeral will be on Saturday, July 1, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home with Pastor Chris Simons officiating.
