The issue of how to best revitalize a once-bustling Downtown Franklin has long been a concern of many. The recent Startup Downtown program is certainly a step in the right direction. A well thought-out, comprehensive plan would certainly go a long way as well.

Thanks to the efforts of mayor Frank Rabil, who has worked for months to form a coalition of stakeholders and concerned parties, the process for creating such a vision for Downtown’s future is underway.

What is even more encouraging is that the “Vision For the Future Team” is soliciting public input on ways Downtown Franklin can thrive once again.

We are in full and complete support of the group’s efforts, and encourage all interested parties to share their ideas and visions for this critically important resource for Franklin.
