COURTLAND
This Monday through next Saturday is Can Your Fines Week at Blackwater Regional Library. Summer reading is just around the corner and we want everyone to have the opportunity to participate without the worry of past overdue fines that may still be lingering on their accounts. The library encourages everyone to look around the house, in the kid’s backpacks or under the car seats to locate overdue library items to return. Already returned your overdue items, but did not pay the overdue fines? No worries, you can still participate.
During Can Your Fines Week, we will waive up to $10 in overdue fines from your account when you donate non-perishable food items to the library (one item = $1, up to 10 items = $10). Participating is simple, fast and easy.
You will need to locate and return overdue materials, or bring your library card in to allow staff access to your account. Donate up to 10 non-perishable food items to have a maximum of $10 in overdue fines waived.
**For accounts in Collections, non-perishable food item donations do not apply to the $10 Collection Agency Fee or fees associated with lost material replacement.
