RICHMOND — Walter Frank Daughtrey III, 57, passed away June 13, 2017, in Henrico Doctors Hospital.
Frank was born in Franklin, Virginia, reared in Courtland, Virginia, and was a graduate of Christchurch School and Elon University.

He was the son of the late Dr. W. Frank Daughtrey Jr. and Virginia Brooks Manry Daughtrey.
Frank was brought up in the Courtland United Methodist Church. Frank loved to fish and hunt. Above all, he loved and adored his children, to whom he was extremely devoted and proud.Frank lived life to the fullest and will always be remembered for his infectious laugh.
Left to cherish his memory are one daughter, Brooks Summers Daughtrey; one son, Walter Frank Daughtrey IV; a stepson, Phillip A. Rice, one sister, Patricia D. Storey; nephews, John A. Storey, Scott J. Storey, Stephen K. Storey; a niece, Ginny S. Graef; and cousins.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 19, in the Manry Family Cemetery, 22301 Linden St., Courtland, with the Rev. David Henson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Frank’s memory to the James River Association, 4833 Old Main St., Richmond, VA 24231.
