WINDSOR — William Joyner “Billy” Warren, 72, passed away on May 27, 2017, in Sentara Obici Hospital.

He was a native of Nansemond County and a son of the late John Wesley Warren and Shirley Elizabeth Joyner Warren. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary Crumpler Warren.
Billy was an Army veteran, and had retired from NAPA Auto Parts.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved companion of 30 years, Peggy Carr; his daughter, Cindy Clements (Jason); stepdaughter, Betty Story (Wayne); a stepson, William E. “Bubba” Carr Jr.; and four grandchildren, Drew Clements, Ryder Gardner, Kristine Pearce and Stacy Story.
The graveside service with military honors will be on Monday, June 5, at noon, in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milner’s Road, Suffolk, with the Rev. James H. Hyatt Jr. officiating.
