To the Editor:

Unfortunately, it is a unique experience to vote for a candidate and support that candidate enthusiastically, as opposed to voting for the lesser of two or more evils. The Democratic primary, to be held on June 13, 2017, offers the people of the Commonwealth a wonderful opportunity to support a candidate for governor that many of us feel, without question or qualification, to be capable of becoming Virginia’s next great governor. 

Dr. Ralph Northam towers over the other candidates, both Democrat and Republican. He was raised on Virginia’s Eastern Shore in a rural environment that has proven to be highly beneficial and of great value. Educated at Virginia Military Institute and Eastern Virginia Medical School, not only has he used his brilliant and well educated mind as a doctor in combat zones and as a healer to thousands of children, he has also distinguished himself as a political leader.

Listen to him closely. His words reflect his intellect and thought. His lifetime experience prepares him beyond any question to be our governor. 

I can remember as a child the enthusiasm that many of us had for the election of John Kennedy. I feel very much the same way about the election of Dr. Ralph Northam. Please vote for him on June 13, 2017, and invest wisely in Virginia’s future.
