Reader advisory committee

Have you ever read The Tidewater News and wondered why we cover certain things and not others? Have you ever had an idea for a story or an ongoing feature that you wanted to see in the newspaper? Do you want to help us make the newspaper even better?

If you responded yes to any of these questions, then we want you to be a part of our new Reader Advisory Committee.

In the coming weeks, we will be inviting a group of our readers to meet directly with staff members for the purpose of giving input and providing feedback on what does, or does not, appear in this newspaper.

Consider this our invitation for you to join us.

If you are interested in participating on our advisory committee, please email the publisher at tony.clark@tidewaternews.com, explaining why you want to be a part of the committee and what some of your ideas or concerns are. A group of 10-15 readers will be selected to form the committee, which will meet on a monthly basis over refreshments to discuss ways that we can make your newspaper the best it can be.

We value the opinions of our readers, and look forward to working more closely with you to make sure that those opinions are heard.
