CARRSVILLE — Mr. John M. Boone passed away on May 14, 2017, while a patient in Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.
He was born on July 1, 1932, to the late Pearl. G. and Goldman R. Boone Sr.
On the day of the service, his remains will rest in church for viewing by 10 a.m. The service celebrating his life was on Monday, May 22, at noon, in Laurel Hill United Church of Christ, 8001 South Quay Road, Suffolk, with the pastor, the Rev. Dr. Carl Sweat, delivering the message of comfort.
The committal, military honors and the benediction will be in the church cemetery.
A traditional service with dignity wasconducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St., Franklin.
