As provided in Section 22.1-37 of the Code of Virginia, this serves as

 

legal notice that the School Board Selection Commission of Southampton

 

County will meet in the Southampton County School Board Office Complex

 

Courtland, Virginia, on Tuesday, June 06, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. for the

 

Public Hearing of two members for the Southampton County School Board;

 

one from the Newsoms District and one from the At-Large District,

 

beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2021.  At 11:00 a.m. on

 

Tuesday, June 13, 2017, the Selection Commission will meet for the

 

Appointment of the two School Board Members.  Candidates

 

should be present at both meetings or should notify a Selection

 

Commissioner of their intentions – Wayne Cosby, Larry Rose, and

 

Mark H. Hodges, Members.
