Roger B. Campbell

COURTLAND — Roger Brice Campbell, 81, passed away May 5, 2017, at his home in Courtland surrounded by his family.
Mr. Campbell was born in London, West Virginia, a son of the late Loren Lloyd Campbell and Cora Gladys Wilson Campbell. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Cecil and Alvin Campbell; and three sisters, Donna Jean Boles, Brenda Thompson and Naomi Campbell.
He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church, and was a retired building contractor.He was a handyman and carpenter for everyone and a devoted family man.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carmel “Connie’ Campbell; five daughters, Pam Campbell Chittum, Mary Eure (Keith), Rita Yeary (Paul), Laticia Lilly (Jerry) and Krista Hoggard (Earl); three sons, Steve Campbell (Debbie), James Campbell (Margaret) and Charles Campbell (Mae); one sister Lois Inge; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Phoebe.
The visitation will be on Monday, May 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, in Stevens and Grass Funeral Home, Maulden, West Virginia, with Pastor Roy Short and Pastor Ken Souder officiating. The burial will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Park in Glascow, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
