COURTLAND
The Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe is gearing up for its inaugural Native American Revival Crusade for Christ (Yeshua) titled “The Great Awakening of the Holy Spirit.”
Guest evangelist will be Chief Steve Silverheels, Doctor of Divinity. He is son of Jay Silverheels, who played Tonto on the TV series “The Lone Ranger.”
The event will be on Saturday May 13, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribal Land. Cattashowrock Town, 27345 Aquia Path, Courtland.
Admission to the revival is free and the invitation is extended to all tribes, all chiefs, all preachers/evangelists, all churches and the public.
“Come out to receive become a doer of the preached Word and witness the blowing of the Shofars,” said Chief Walt “Red Hawk” Brown. He added that the 12 Bezalel Dancers will dance for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
A number of singers will perform, including the Diamond Grove Baptist Church Choir under the direction of Curtis Chappel.
“Experience the breath of the Holy Spirit/the Comforter and the sound of the “Healing Drum” and claim your spiritual/physical healing,” said Brown.
Brown stated that Evangelist Billy Graham prophesied in the mid-1970s that there would be a “Great American Awakening of Souls Coming to Christ” and it shall be led by Native Americans.
“So as commanded, we are doing our part to bring this prophesy to fruition,” the chief stated. “Come into our blessed tribal sacred circle and bring your sick, your wheelchair bound, your cancer-stricken, your depressed without peace and joy and receive your healing. Come out of darkness into the marvelous light. For we as Native People have been wounded by injustice, yet healed by the spirit and peace and love of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
